The weather was already very gray and cloudy, as we pulled up to the bottom of
Cathedral Ledge, the location of our route, "Recompense". When we walked up the
approach, we had to wait for the party before us to start on the 2nd
pitch. We started climbing, the first pitch, which went pretty smoothly.
On the second pitch, there were a couple of hard moves, but we all made it with
no falls. The third pitch, however, was very interesting. The first move was
very frightening, sine it was a giant step over a huge crack. Later, near the
end of the pitch, we ran into another hard part. It was a slippery finger crack
that was also overhanging. We all completed that part, and proceeded to do the
final pitch, and top off on the tourist ledge. The tourists promptly started
asking everyone questions about climbing, as we came up feeling
victorious.
